Pere-Joan Cardona – Partner and Founder.

Mr. Cardona is an MD from the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona.
He is currently Chief Scientific Officer at Archivel Farma S.L. and Head of the Experimental Tuberculosis Unit.
Over the course of his professional career he has worked at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital both as a researcher and associate lecturer.
Internationally renowned scientist, his recent research has focused on developing the “dynamic hypothesis” which proposes a shift in the way in which the latency of TB infection is understood and thereby offers a new approach when designing new drugs and treatment programmes. He was also one of the Principal Investigators of the Phase I clinical trial performed with RUTI®.
He is the co-inventor of RUTI® Vaccine, the first vaccines against Latent Tuberculosis Infection.

Isabel Amat – Partner and Founder.

Ms. Amat i Riera is a graduate of Chemistry from the University of Barcelona.
Ms. Amat i Riera trained at the Sant Pau Hospital Research Institute in Barcelona where she completed her doctoral thesis.
In 2000 joining the microbiology group at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital to develop RUTI® Vaccine, the first vaccines against Latent Tuberculosis Infection.
Since 2005 she is Head of Pharmaceutical Development. In this position, she has amassed a long experience in clinical pharmaceutical development of biologic products, in project management of R&D&I and leadership.

Jaume Amat – Partner and Founder.

Mr. Amat is a graduate of Technical Engineering in Telecommunications from La Salle (Barcelona).
He has a long track record in start-ups having been directly involved in creating a number of companies, including three in the biotechnology sector. From 2005 to 2008 he was Archivel Farma’s General Manager and currently he is member of Board of Directors of Archivel Farma
